Phemex setup — first time guide

Phemex setup

If you've never traded on a derivatives exchange before, here's the path. The whole thing takes about 20 minutes the first time. Phemex is the venue we recommend — among the lowest fees on perpetual futures with deep liquidity on every coin we send signals for.

If you already trade somewhere else (Binance, Bybit, OKX, BingX), skip this entirely. The signal feed is exchange-agnostic — entry, stop, and target are just prices. You can place them anywhere those four perpetuals are listed.

1 · Open the account

Sign up at Phemex using that link. Email + password, like any other website. You'll be asked to verify your email; the code lands within a minute.

Why that link? It's our referral. You don't pay anything extra; the exchange shares a small slice of the trading fee with us. If you'd rather not use it, you can sign up directly at phemex.com and our signals work the same.

2 · Verify identity (KYC)

Phemex requires basic identity verification to trade futures.

Most users only need Level 1 to start trading. Level 2 takes a few hours to a day to clear.

3 · Deposit USDT

You can deposit USDT either by:

Once the deposit confirms (usually under a minute on Tron), it appears in your Phemex Spot wallet.

4 · Move to your USDT futures wallet

Phemex separates Spot from Futures wallets. Click Transfer and move USDT from Spot → USDT-M Futures. You'll trade from the Futures balance.

5 · Find the perpetuals

In the trading area, search for BTCUSDT (or ETH / SOL / XRP USDT). Pick the Perpetual version, not the Spot or Quanto version. The URL should contain /USDT/BTCUSDT and the chart should look like crypto, not Bitcoin denominated in USD-M with a Q in the name.

6 · Take a signal

When a signal fires, you'll see something like:

BTC LONG
Entry $67,234.56
SL $63,910.20
TP $76,000.00

On Phemex:

  1. Set leverage to whatever you're comfortable with. Our signals don't require high leverage to work — your bank size and risk tolerance set the leverage.
  2. Place a limit order at the entry price. Long signals = buy, short signals = sell.
  3. Set the stop-loss at the SL price. Phemex calls these "Conditional orders" or "Stop-Limit". Triggered when price hits the level.
  4. Set the take-profit at the TP price the same way.
  5. Done. The trade either hits SL, hits TP, or expires within 28 hours unfilled.

Phemex will let you set SL / TP at the same time as the entry order — you don't need three separate trips through the order ticket. Look for the "TP/SL" toggle right next to the price input.

7 · Fees

Phemex charges roughly 0.01% maker / 0.06% taker on USDT perpetuals. Our signals use limit orders, so you'll usually pay the maker fee on entry and the taker fee on exit (whichever way the trade resolves). Round-trip ≈ 0.07% × 2 ≈ 0.14% of notional. The R-multiple math accounts for this — fees are baked into the backtest assumptions.

8 · Withdrawing profits

When you want to take profits out:

  1. Move USDT from Futures wallet → Spot wallet.
  2. Withdraw from Spot to wherever you want — your bank (via card-cashout in some regions), another exchange, or a personal wallet.
  3. Use Tron / TRC20 as the withdrawal network for the lowest fee.

The first withdrawal triggers a small extra security check; after that it's instant.

If for some reason Phemex doesn't work in your region, the strategy ports cleanly to:

The signal feed gives you the price points; you place them on whichever venue you prefer.
